ITI Medal

The ITI Medal honours outstanding performing arts personalities or individuals who have contributed to performing arts or to ITI in an exceptional way. It is the highest acknowledgement, given by the Executive Council of ITI during an Award Ceremony. So far two medals have been awarded:

2009: The first ITI Medal was awarded to Sheikh Hamad bin Mohamed Al-Sharqi, member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Fujairah for his commitment for culture and humanism and for his continuous support to ITI and to the performing arts. The ITI Medal was given to him in the Royal Palace in Fujairah.



2011: The second ITI Medal was given to Sheikh Sultan bin Mohamed Al-Qasimi, member of the Supreme Council of the United Arab Emirates and Ruler of Sharjah for his exceptional donations that helped ITI to survive in difficult times, for his continuous support of the arts, the performing arts and especially theatre over a long period of time. The ITI medal was given to Sheikh Sultan at the opening ceremony of the ITI World Congress in Xiamen, China.
