| ‘The World of Theatre’ is the International Theatre Institute’s main publication. It contains national articles, written by noted theatre journalists or critics and provided by ITI National Centres. These give a vast panorama of theatre productions and a critical review of recent developments in the performing arts in over 50 countries during the preceding two theatre seasons. The book has been published biennially since 1986, first with the help of the USSR Centre of ITI and, since 1991 through the long-standing dedication of the Bangladesh Centre and the Communication Committee. The book is normally also available in French -“Le Monde du Théâtre” – thanks to the Tunisian, Belgian, Kuwait and Fujairah Centres as well as those already mentioned above. In 2008, an Arabic version was made possible for the first time with the support of H.H. Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al-Sharqi, Ruler of Fujairah and Member of the Supreme Council of the UAE, together with the Fujairah Centre of the ITI. |
