Workshop for Playwrights in three Countries of the Western Balkans: Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia
March to April 2012. Three IPF members from Slovenia, Croatia and Serbia under the umbrella of regional ITI centres will organize and mentor workshops with young playwrights from 3 Balkan countries. One young playwright from each country will start writing during the Slovenian Festival of National Drama (Kranj, Slovenia, March 2012), continue working during the Croatian Festival of National Drama (Split, Croatia, April 2012) and finish and read their plays within the frame of the Serbian Festival of National Drama (Novi Sad, Serbia, May 2012). These workshops and festivals will be used to present and promote new plays of neighbouring countries through lectures, presentations and meetings between playwrights.
Meeting and Round Table, Novi Sad, Serbia
May 2012. Within the framework of the International Festival of Serbian Drama (Sterijino pozorje) at the invitation of the organizers, IPF will attend a festival, have a meeting, interact with local playwrights and organize a round table with playwrights from the Balkan region entitled 'Drama Theatre in a Conflict Zone'.
Meeting Israel
December 2012. A meeting of IPF will be held within the framework of the annual Isradrama Festival, and meeting with Israeli and Palestinian playwrights will be organized where plans for exchange between Israeli and Palestinian playwrights in Tel Aviv and the West Bank will be presented.
Exchange between Chinese Playwrights and IPF Members' Countries
As a result of the Presentation of Chinese and Hong Kong playwrights organized by IPF during the Congress, an exchange between playwrights from Chinese and IPF members' countries is planned. Exact dates and countries to be announced.
