Call for Assistance to Japanese Performing Artists

Dear colleagues and friends,
We believe that there is only one word needed to respond to the dimension of an earthquake followed by a tsunami and present threat caused by affected nuclear plants in Japan: solidarity.
The Slovene Centre of ITI decided to address a Call for aid for our performing arts colleagues in Japan to all members of the ITI Worldwide with a clear mission: raising funds for Japanese Centre ITI and Japanese performing artists affected by a recent natural disaster.
The Slovene Association of Dramatic Artist, the umbrella organization of the Slovene Centre ITI, responded in a second. During our last General Assembly all delegates unanimously decided to support the idea of our national centre and donate the first 1000 EUR to the Japanese Centre ITI.
Our next step following will be the call addressed to all individual members, theatre institutions and all organizations in the field of performing arts in Slovenia on the occasion of 27 March 2011 – World Theatre Day.
In agreement with the ITI Secretariat in Paris funds will be collected on the following bank account number:
