The International Festivals Forum (IFF) was established on the joint initiative of a number ITI Centres and held its first meetings in the framework of the ITI World Congress, in Madrid. It was then reloaded during the 33rd ITI World Congress in Xiamen, China, September 2011.

Mission Statement
The International Festivals Forum (IFF) is a working group of festival programmers, fundraisers / producers, facilitators, and artists involved in festival work. IFF wishes to underline and give worldwide recognition to the fact that ITI is a global network of professional festival organizers doing important work for the performing arts in their respective countries, regions, and cities, both at the national and international level. ITI festivals are special festivals - the label “ITI” must be established as an exclusive quality label in the field.
IFF works for better visibility and accessibility of ITI festivals around the world
IFF facilitates international personal contact and exchange among festival workers and considers itself a lobbying organization for the promotion of the work of ITI festivals around the world. It is a network of specialists in the field who will meaningfully advise and help orient international festival scouts and programmers from among the working group towards interesting work and productions. (Personalize our relations! Personal relations instead of global promotional mailings!) IFF may eventually aim at promoting individual productions both inside and outside the working group.

Definition of an ITI Festival
An ITI Festival is part of ITI, meaning that it is either organized by an ITI Centre, produced, in collaboration with an ITI Centre or ITI worldwide, or recommended and promoted by an ITI Centre or ITI worldwide.

Goals
- Visit different festivals in order to get to know more about festival structures in ITI countries and to create an ITI festival network.
- Make definitions on ITI festival and urge them to label them
- Get information about festivals from ITI Centres
- Edit a Newsletter on ITI Festivals
- Provide guidance to ITI Centres on festival issues
